Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Marlow — the application-only, verified matchmaking service —

including our website, web app, Aria coaching features, video dates, and concierge services

(together, the "Service"). By applying, creating an account, or using the Service you agree to

these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and the supplemental terms

referenced below.

1. Who can join

— You must be 21 or older. We verify age against government ID; misstating your age is

grounds for immediate termination without refund.

— You must complete identity verification (government ID + liveness check), phone and email

confirmation, and a background check (see the Background Check Disclosure) before entering

the matching pool. There is no unverified tier.

— You represent that you are **not married and not in a marriage-like partnership you are

concealing**, that you have never been convicted of or pled to a violent crime or sexual

offense, and that you are not required to register as a sex offender. We screen for these;

passing screening does not waive the representation — if it later proves false, your

membership terminates immediately without refund.

— One account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

2. What Marlow is (and is not)

— Marlow curates a limited number of introductions ("matches") per week using automated

analysis of your application, profile, photos, preferences, and in-app activity, plus human

review. See the AI & Automated Processing Disclosure.

— No guarantee. We do not promise matches, dates, chemistry, a relationship, or a marriage.

We promise the work: vetting, matching, and planning support.

— Marlow is not a background-check service for your independent use, not a therapy or

counseling service (see AI Disclosure), and not an escort or companionship service.

— Aria and other coaching features provide relationship-skills information and suggestions

only. They are not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

3. Membership, billing, and trial

— Membership: $49/month or $300/year (prepaid), charged by Stripe on the schedule you

select. Prices may change with 30 days' notice; changes apply at your next renewal.

— Trial: New verified members receive a 30-day free trial. A valid payment method is

required; the trial converts to a paid monthly membership on day 31 unless you cancel.

We remind you before conversion.

— Auto-renewal: Memberships renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in

Settings → Subscription; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. See the

Refund & Cancellation Policy for details, including your rights in California, New York, and

the EU.

— Concierge services are separate, per-date purchases with their own fees, presented at the

time of purchase.

4. The Showing-Up Bond

When both members confirm a date, each posts a refundable $50 bond (a card hold, not a

charge). The full mechanics — release, forfeiture on confirmed no-shows, credit to the affected

member, and disputes — are in the Bond Terms, which are part of these Terms.

The bond is a good-faith commitment device and a reasonable pre-estimate of the time and cost a

no-show imposes; it is not a penalty.

5. Your content and conduct

— You grant Marlow a limited, revocable license to host, process, and display the content you

submit (photos, prompts, voice notes, messages) solely to operate the Service — including

automated analysis for matching, safety, and verification. We never sell your content or use

it for third-party advertising.

— You agree to the Community Guidelines. In short: be real, be respectful, show up. No

harassment, hate, commercial solicitation, or off-platform scraping. No sharing another

member's identity or content outside the Service without consent.

— We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with a

human-reviewed appeal process for account actions.

6. Safety

We verify identity, screen backgrounds, and moderate reports with target response SLAs — but we

cannot guarantee any member's conduct. Meet in public, tell a friend, and use the in-app safety

tools. Read the Safety Guidelines. In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it — including the encrypted private

preferences layer, biometric verification data, and background-check results — and the rights

and deletion tools available to you. We do not sell personal data and we do not run third-party

advertising trackers.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time (Settings → Privacy Dashboard); deletion follows a

7-day recovery window, then permanent removal per the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or

terminate for Terms violations, safety risk, fraud, or verification failure. Fees already paid

are non-refundable except as stated in the Refund & Cancellation Policy or required by law.

9. Disclaimers and liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MARLOW DISCLAIMS ALL

WARRANTIES, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE

AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY

MEMBER ON OR OFF THE SERVICE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; those limits

apply only to the extent permitted.

10. Disputes; arbitration; class waiver

[COUNSEL TO FINALIZE — proposed:] Disputes are resolved by binding individual arbitration under

the AAA Consumer Rules, with a 60-day informal-resolution window first, small-claims carve-out,

and mutual class-action waiver. Opt-out permitted within 30 days of account creation by

emailing legal@marlowlove.com. Governing law: [Delaware/California — counsel to advise].

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes get 30 days' notice in-app or by email. Continued

use after the effective date is acceptance.
