Safety Guidelines

Shown before your first confirmed date and always available in Help. Written to inform, not to

guarantee — no screening system catches everything, and verification is not a character reference.

Before you meet

Keep conversations on Marlow until you've met. Members who push to move off-platform fast —

especially toward payment apps, crypto, or "investment opportunities" — are the #1 scam

pattern. Report anyone who asks for money; that's removal, no exceptions.

Video-date first when it's easy (it's built in). Thirty minutes on video answers questions a

week of texting can't.

Tell a friend the who/where/when. Use the in-app date check-in: it shares your date's

first name, venue, and time window with a contact you choose — location is shared only if

you turn it on, and never with your date.

Where to meet

Public venue, arrive and leave under your own steam. Don't get picked up at home for a first

date; don't share your home address yet.

If concierge planned the date, the venue is already vetted and staff-visible — still your

call to change it; your comfort outranks the reservation.

During

Keep your phone charged and with you. The check-in tool has a discreet

"I need an exit" action that calls you with a scripted out, and an emergency action that

dials local emergency services.

Watch your drink; it's fine to keep it boring on a first date.

Mismatch between profile and person — age, identity, marital signals? You can leave without

a speech. Report it after; concealed identity is an immediate-removal offense.

After

No-shows: file the bond claim; it exists so your evening wasn't free to waste.

Anything that made you uncomfortable — report it, even if it feels small. Patterns are how

we catch people before they escalate.

If something serious happened: your safety first, authorities first. Then tell us —

safety@marlowlove.com reaches a human with a 4-hour target, and we preserve records and

cooperate with law enforcement per our Privacy Policy.

Long-distance & travel dates

First meeting in a new city: book your own accommodation; keep it unknown until you've met.

Meeting during Trip Mode travel: same rules, plus share your itinerary with someone at home.

Marlow never shares your live location or accommodation with a match — anyone claiming the

app gave them that is lying; report immediately.

Emergencies: local emergency services (US: 911). US crisis line: call/text 988.

US domestic-violence hotline: 1-800-799-7233. More regional resources in Help.
